Scarborough

Scarborough, in North Yorkshire has long been regarded as Britain's first holiday resort.
With a tradition of holiday-making going back 360 years it's still attracting visitors to this day.
Scarborough is divided into two bays by the Castle Headland - North Bay and South Bay.
The North Bay is home to attractions like Peasholm Park, Miniature North Bay Railway, Scarborough Sea Life Centre and the Atlantis swimming pool.
In the South Bay can be found the harbour with cafes, restaurants, amusement arcades and shops. There are restaurants catering for all tastes with everything from traditional pub food to seafood, Italian, Greek, Indian and Chinese cuisine.
There's plenty to do in the evenings with four distinctive theatres, each offering something different. Music lovers can visit the Spa Complex, home of the only remaining seaside orchestra, or Peasholm Park, which offers open air concerts and a variety of family activities.
There are also year-round festivals, including Seafest, Jazz, literature, bike week, Scarborough Fayre and the Scarborough Cricket Festival.
With castles, stately homes, museums and galleries all nearby there's plenty to keep the family occupied. And you'd be mad not to explore the nearby moorland, forests, and Yorkshire Coast.
